This policy explains how this application handles information and how to contact us about privacy.
Information we process
The app keeps your plan names, room dimensions, wall and camera positions, camera settings, and app preferences on your device. When a network connection is available, synchronization sends plan names and plan geometry to our server. The server also stores an installation identifier derived from a random secret held in your device Keychain; it stores a bcrypt hash and a keyed lookup digest, not the plain secret. Server requests can expose technical metadata such as an IP address and request time to the hosting provider. Exported images and PDFs are created on your device.
How we use information
The app uses plan data to draw your layout, calculate coverage and blind zones, save edits, and synchronize plans between the app and its server when a connection is available. It uses the installation secret to restrict server access to the plans belonging to that installation. Technical request information is used to deliver and troubleshoot the service. We do not use plan data for advertising or analytics.
Service providers and sharing
Railway hosts the application server and PostgreSQL database and processes the data needed to operate those services, including infrastructure request information. The app does not include advertising or analytics providers. A plan image or PDF is shared only when you choose to export or send it using your device; the recipient and any chosen app then handle that copy under their own practices.
Data retention
Local plans and preferences remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app, subject to your device backup settings. Server plans remain until you delete a plan or use the in-app server data deletion control. Deleting an individual server plan removes its content and leaves a plan identifier and modification time so offline devices can learn about the deletion. Hosting backups and operational logs may persist for periods controlled by the hosting provider; we do not promise an exact erasure time for those copies.
Deleting your information
You can delete individual plans in the app. The server data deletion control removes the installation record and all of its server plans, including deletion markers, from the active database. The app clears its local plans and rotates its Keychain secret after a successful server deletion, so later synchronization starts with a new empty installation record. Removing the app may not remove server data or a Keychain item; use the in-app deletion control before uninstalling if you want to erase the active server copy. Permissions and your choices
The app requests Photos access only when you choose to save an exported plan image to your photo library. You can deny or later withdraw that permission in iOS Settings; planning and local editing remain available. The app does not require location access or your contacts. Synchronization requires network access and can be unavailable while offline.
Your privacy rights
You can view, edit, export, and delete your plans using the app. You can erase the server copy with the server data deletion control. Applicable privacy law may provide additional access, correction, deletion, or objection rights; contact us using the address below to make a request. Because there is no user account, possession of the installation secret is needed to identify its server records, and losing it can prevent access to those records.
Security
The server requires a separate random installation secret for each installation and checks it before returning or changing plan data. The secret is kept in the iOS Keychain and transmitted to the service over HTTPS. The server stores a bcrypt hash plus a keyed lookup digest of the secret and keeps database credentials on the server. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, so avoid putting sensitive personal details in plan names.
Children’s privacy
The app is a planning tool for adults arranging camera placement and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly create child accounts or collect age information. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through a plan, contact us so we can assess and address the request.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the app or service changes. The current version and effective date will be published at this page. Material changes to the way plan data is handled will be described in an updated policy before they take effect where required by law.
